The judicial assistant committees in several courthouses have issued a circular distributed to judges and lawyers announcing the commencement of a comprehensive general strike starting this Thursday, February 1, in the courts and commercial registry in Beirut and Baabda. The judicial assistants stated that they are preparing a detailed statement regarding their demands, which will be released later, after exhausting all the promises made to them by the officials that have not been fulfilled. It is worth noting that the strike by judicial assistants will paralyze the functioning of all courts, in addition to several official departments.
