Iranian media reported on Wednesday that the first batch of Russian tourists entered Iran through Imam Khomeini Airport after the visa requirement between Russia and Iran was lifted. Mohammad Hossein Soufi, the executive director of the Iranian Automobile and International Tourism Club, noted that "another priority for the ministry is to abolish visas with various countries unilaterally and bilaterally."
