Referee Khalil Omut Miller stated that he will not forgive Faruk Koca, the president of Ankara Gucu, for punching him in the face at the end of a match in the Turkish Super League last week. The Turkish Football Federation's disciplinary committee imposed a lifetime ban on Koca, who entered the field and struck Miller after the final whistle, following Rizespor's equalizing goal in the 97th minute at Ankara Gucu's Eryaman Stadium. Miller was also kicked in the head while he was on the ground. Koca was arrested the day after the incident, during which he reportedly told police that the referee had threatened him with death. Miller told the Hürriyet Daily News, "No, I have not forgiven (Koca) and I will not forgive. The person who did this punched me, causing me to fall to the ground. But the actual kick I endured while on the ground is something I will never forget for the rest of my life." Miller added, "That is why I will never forgive. I will never forgive in any way; I will never forgive whoever did that."
