Member of the "Strong Lebanon" bloc, MP Alaan Aoun, revealed that principles for dialogue with Hezbollah and an agreement on the name of the president are currently being established. He noted that the name of the head of the Marada Movement, Sleiman Frangieh, is included in this understanding since it has been proposed by the opposing team. In an interview with LBCI, he stated that in the coming days, the possibility of agreeing on administrative decentralization, which has now been narrowed down to two or three points, as well as the topic of the credit fund, will be defined. Aoun believes that the presidency is not solely about a name but represents a starting point for a new phase in the country, particularly in strengthening state institutions. He considers the priority for the next term to be economic and reformative. He asserted that if there is no agreement among the parliamentary blocs on a name for the presidency, the term cannot be successful, emphasizing that the opposition forces cannot remain isolated. Aoun disclosed that the approach to the candidate Jihad Azour was merely to buy time, indicating that his name has become just a facade.
