Seven Dead and Injured in "Fierce" Battle in Al-Kut Due to Financial Dispute

A local source in the Iraqi province of Wassit reported today, Friday, that a fierce battle broke out with white weapons in the center of the province. The source stated that "an armed dispute erupted between several individuals in the Al-Jihad neighborhood, in the city center of Al-Kut, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuring five others with serious wounds," noting that "the quarrel involved the use of white weapons (knives)." The source added that "the confrontation arose between the parties over a financial amount," further mentioning that "a large security force cordoned off the scene of the incident and transported the bodies to the forensic department, as well as the injured to the hospital for necessary treatment."
