The Disaster Management Unit of the Union of Municipalities of Tyre issued a statement on Wednesday evening announcing that "the number of displaced persons from border villages has reached 19,185 in the Tyre district." The statement noted that "the daily increase in the number of displaced persons is due to the developments in security events as border villages have been subjected to bombardment and daily attacks by Israel, which has added extra burdens on the Disaster Management Unit, which is working with all available resources alongside associations and international organizations to secure their needs, especially for those located in five approved shelters by the unit and the displaced persons distributed across several villages within the district."
