The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor strongly condemned Israel's escalation of intense bombing and deadly attacks in the Gaza Strip since last Friday, following the collapse of the temporary humanitarian truce that lasted a week. Preliminary statistics documented by the Euro-Mediterranean show that the daily casualty rate before the humanitarian truce ranged between 300 to 350 deaths per day, but it has risen to over 500 since Israel resumed its attacks for the sixth consecutive day. This has brought the total Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip to 21,731 since October 7, with 8,697 of them being children and 4,410 women, while the number of injured has risen to 4,016.
