A building in the Aoukar area caught fire during a protest heading towards the American embassy. The protest, which included acts of vandalism and the launching of fireworks, led to the ignition of the building that contains residential apartments, a furniture showroom, and household goods stores. Civil defense teams arrived at the scene and worked to extinguish the fire after security forces dispersed the protesters using tear gas, amid fears of gas canisters exploding inside the burning building. It is worth noting that the building was evacuated immediately after the fire broke out, with no injuries reported.
