The spokesman for the Israeli army, Daniel Hagari, stated in a televised remark that the air force is ramping up its attacks in Gaza "to protect its ground forces." He mentioned that they have informed the families of 383 soldiers that their sons have died in the war. He held Yahya Sinwar responsible for the hostages, saying, "We reached the heart of Gaza faster than Hamas anticipated." Regarding the ship, he stated, "There has been no communication with this crew from Israel, and this is piracy that harms maritime routes." As for the situation in Lebanon, he said, "We are responding harshly, and with each launch, there is an attack, and Hezbollah knows the extent of its losses."
