The Russian presidency (the Kremlin) stated that "the incident with the two drones requires a thorough and urgent investigation, and it cannot be said when the results will appear. Russian President Vladimir Putin does not intend to give a speech or hold a National Security Council meeting, and there is no change in the pace of the special military operation in Ukraine." The statement added: "We know that the decisions regarding these hostile actions were made in Washington, and Kyiv is executing them only. The United States is behind this attack, and we know that for sure." It declined to comment on "whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a legitimate target for Russia." Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro condemned "the terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime using drones on the Kremlin," expressing solidarity with the Russian people and government. The Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, remarked that "the statements of American officials regarding the attack on the Kremlin with drones are astonishing in their absurdity and audacity."
