During a ceremony for distributing certificates for excellence grants to winners of the association’s scholarships for graduate and university studies in Lebanon and abroad for the academic year 2023-2024, Education Minister in the caretaker government Abbas Al-Halabi noted that in a time of great need for support for families in educating their children, the role of genuine associations in their educational and social mission becomes central, necessary, and crucial. He stated, "Since our last stand here last year and this year's stand, the social burden has increased, and those striving for good are in a situation that one cannot envy, choosing between those who are most in need and most deserving of the scholarship."
He added, "I would like to take this educational and social occasion to emphasize that we at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education are working in impossible times, and our public schools will open their doors at the beginning of next month, especially since registration has not stopped." Al-Halabi called on "all responsible and active civil society institutions and capable individuals to embrace public schools and their students, and to provide all forms of support for public education, so that we can all unite in solidarity and support public schools because they are our collective responsibility, especially in difficult circumstances. They are institutions that welcome everyone without discrimination and provide education for all."
