Hungarian Parliament Approves Sweden's NATO Membership

The Hungarian Parliament approved on Monday a bill allowing Sweden to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), finally paving the way for the Northern European country to join the western military alliance amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. Hungary is the last of the 31 member states in the alliance to ratify Sweden's membership after opposition from the ruling Fidesz party to this move for months.
