Russia Appoints New Deputy Minister of Defense

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the appointment of Colonel Alexey Kuzminkov as the Deputy Minister of Defense, responsible for the logistics of the Russian Armed Forces. Colonel Kuzminkov graduated from the Volsk Military Logistics School in 1992 and served in various positions within the logistics support bodies of the Russian Armed Forces until 2019.

From 2014 to 2018, he headed the logistics headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces, and from 2018 to 2019, he was the deputy commander of the Southern Military District for logistics. Since 2019, he has held the position of Deputy Director of the Federal Service for National Guard Troops in Russia, the overall commander of the National Guard Forces.
