American University Fires Adviser After Filming Pornographic Videos with Wife

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Board of Trustees of the University of Wisconsin fired university adviser Joe Gao after he appeared in pornographic videos with his wife. The Board suspended Joe Gao and terminated his position due to his actions of filming pornographic videos of his wife.

University adviser Guy Rothman stated, "In recent days, we learned of specific actions taken by Dr. Gao that caused significant harm to the university's reputation. His actions were disgusting." The newspaper noted that the videos in question appeared on a YouTube channel, in which Gao was seen preparing dishes with adult film stars in a pornographic film.

The article highlighted that the university president and his wife publicly mentioned their names in the questionable videos. The newspaper confirmed that Betsy Morgan was appointed as an interim adviser following Gao's dismissal. Gao, for his part, condemned what happened to him, adding that he never spoke about his university during the tape and did not mention his position, claiming that his dismissal violated his right to free speech.
