White House National Security spokesperson John Kirby announced today, Thursday, that U.S. President Joe Biden and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone about NATO and Sweden's request to join the alliance. Kirby added in a press conference that he would not be surprised if the issue of upgrading "F-16" fighter jets was discussed during the call.
