Swedish Tanks Arrive for the Ukrainian Army

The Russian Telegram channel "Voyenny Osvedomitel" published photographs showing Swedish "Stridsvagn 122" tanks entering the Ukrainian army's possession. It stated that these tanks are an upgraded version of the German "Leopard 2A5," featuring stronger armor compared to the original. The channel noted that the "Stridsvagn 122" is currently better protected than other tanks in the Ukrainian army. The frontal armor thickness has increased, and the tanks are equipped with armored plates for overhead protection. Additionally, the tanks have been fitted with "Barakuda" camouflage systems, which resemble similar setups from the Russian "T-90" tank, enhancing their concealment against thermal and radar detection. The "Stridsvagn 122" differs from its original "Leopard 2A5" with a reinforced transmission section, and the tank crew has been provided with seatbelts. The tank is also equipped with "GALAX" smoke grenade launchers, which can also fire specialized high-explosive munitions.
