"Meta Platforms" intends to launch a microblogging application called "Threads," just days after Twitter's CEO, Elon Musk, announced a temporary cap on the number of tweets that each user can view on the social media network.
"Threads," a text-based application linked to "Instagram," has been listed on the Apple App Store, with a note indicating that it will be available for installation on devices starting Thursday. It will allow users to follow the accounts they follow on "Instagram" and retain the same username.
The launch comes after Twitter announced a list of restrictions on app usage, including the requirement for verified accounts to use "TweetDeck."
