Mohammed Safa Wins Summer Golf Cup

The Lebanese youth golf player Mohammed Safa has won the "Summer Cup" after defeating seasoned player Rashid Aql. They both qualified for the final match through a month-long tournament featuring 32 players of various nationalities, using a knockout format. The match showcased an impressive performance from 15-year-old Safa, who is regarded as a prominent talent in the golf scene in Lebanon. The competition was notably challenging against "Captain" Aql, who is distinguished by his rich experience and expertise.

The competition spanned two days, with a sudden downpour causing a tie that necessitated extra time, marking a first in the history of this match. The awards ceremony was attended by members of the golf committee at the golf club, Rashid Aql and Jad Hamza, along with referee Sheikh Moussa Zain. Furthermore, Karim Selim Salam, the president of the golf club and the game's federation, contacted Safa to congratulate him on his successful journey, praising his impressive performance and results both locally and internationally. He also encouraged Safa to continue training and participating in tournaments to enhance his skills and become one of the elite players worthy of national representation.
