Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attracted attention during their attendance at the World Athletics Championships held in Hungary. Erdoğan had conversations with bin Hamad during the events, on the sidelines of their visit to the capital Budapest to participate in the celebrations of Hungary's founding day, at the invitation of the country's Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Bin Hamad and Erdoğan attended the reception organized by Orban in honor of the heads of states invited to witness part of the championship events and the national day celebrations. The event began with a visual presentation of various artistic and cultural performances amidst a display of fireworks.
The finals of the men's 100-meter race, hammer throw, and men's 10,000-meter race were held last night, as well as the finals of the women's long jump. Additionally, the semifinals of the men's and women's 1500-meter races took place.
