Pentagon: We Are Not at War with the Houthis in Yemen

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced today, Thursday, that the United States is not at war with the Houthis in Yemen. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh stated that "the strikes, including targeting two anti-ship missiles today, are purely defensive in nature." She added, "We are not at war with the Houthis." She continued, "It is the Houthis who continue to launch cruise missiles and anti-ship missiles at innocent sailors... What we are doing with our partners is self-defense."
