French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna will arrive in Beirut this Friday evening, with a meeting scheduled for tomorrow morning with Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Army Commander General Joseph Aoun. Colonna will also visit the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in Naqoura to inspect the French troops, which constitute the largest battalion with 700 soldiers. Colonna will depart Beirut on Saturday evening heading to Israel, where she will meet with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who is also visiting Israel.
