A knowledgeable source revealed to Reuters that production has resumed at Libya's El Sharara oil field today, Sunday, after protesters ended a sit-in that had halted production. An official from the National Oil Corporation in Libya told Reuters that the company announced the lifting of the force majeure status and a full resumption of production from the El Sharara oil field. Protesters from the Fezzan region in southern Libya had shut down the oil field on January 3rd.
