Holding onto hope for the joyous holidays and under the title "For the Sake of Hope," the Christmas tree was lit in Sassine Square on Saturday, December 2nd, at 5:30 PM. The event featured the launch of fireworks that illuminated the sky of Ashrafieh, attended by Interior Minister of the caretaker government Bassam Mawlawi, Beirut Governor Judge Walid Aboud, and the president of the Beirut Social Development Association, Mr. Ahmad Hashmiyeh, along with a large gathering of political, social, and public figures.
