The U.S. National Security Council's Strategic Communications Coordinator, John Kirby, stated that "U.S. President Joe Biden has been explicit about some concerns regarding certain matters in Israel." He confirmed that "the opening of the Kerem Shalom crossing will be on U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan's agenda during his talks with the Israelis tomorrow." He added: "Sullivan will meet with Israeli President Netanyahu, the Defense Minister, and members of the war council." He called on Israel to "exercise caution in its ongoing operations in Gaza."
