Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka defeated her Chinese competitor Zheng Qinwen 6-3, 6-2 to retain the women's singles title at the Australian Open on Saturday. With this victory, the second-ranked Sabalenka became the first player to defend the title at Melbourne Park since her compatriot Victoria Azarenka in 2013.
