Tense Months Ahead for Lebanon: Wahhab Links Damascus Accusations to Larger Plot

Wiam Wahhab, the head of the Arab Tawhid Party, asserted that the accusations from Damascus authorities regarding weapons and drugs aim to justify a decision communicated by Washington to Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara', which involves preparing to advance into Lebanese territory.

Wahhab wrote in a post on his 'X' platform account: "The accusations from Damascus authorities regarding weapons and drugs attempt to justify the decision that Washington communicated to Shara' to prepare for advancement into Lebanese territory."

He warned of difficult times ahead, adding: "Tense months are coming as part of an ongoing earthquake lasting for years."
