The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today, Wednesday, that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Ibrahim Raisi are expected to sign a new treaty between the two countries soon. The ministry's spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, indicated to reporters today that the new treaty will strengthen the strategic partnership between Moscow and Tehran and will encompass all aspects of cooperation between them. The Russian news agency TASS reported Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stating that "the date of the meeting between the leaders has not yet been determined." Last month, Putin held five-hour talks with Raisi in the Kremlin amid growing political, commercial, and military relations between the two countries, which raises concerns for the United States and Israel.
