India: We Will Build a Barrier on Our Border with Myanmar

Indian Home Minister Amit Shah announced that Indian authorities will build a fence on its border with Myanmar and will abolish the freedom of movement system with that country. The Times of India reported the minister's statement: "The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to protect the border with Myanmar with a fence similar to the one installed on the border with Bangladesh." He added that the government will reconsider the freedom of movement agreement with Myanmar and "intends to change this mechanism."
