The Minister of Communications in the caretaker government, Johnny Al-Qarm, pointed out that "most prices and expenses have become in dollars except for salaries. Therefore, we need to reconcile the status of the public sector with the private sector and for companies and 'local distributors' to sell at the prices set by the Ministry of Communications and purchase at wholesale prices." In an interview with "Voice of Lebanon," he emphasized that "the basic condition in Decree No. 9458 is not to cut off the internet from citizens, and the Ministry of Communications has a shortage in providing services due to the budget."
