Egyptian media revealed details about a mysterious crime involving a young Egyptian man in Italy. Italian police discovered his body in Genoa, mutilated, beheaded, and dismembered.
The authorities identified the victim as 19-year-old Mahmoud Said Abdullah, whose body was found in the waters of Genoa without a head or limbs. Investigations revealed that he had suffered fatal stab wounds to the chest, heart, and abdomen, causing damage to the liver and stomach, before being dumped in the sea. Initial investigations suggest he may have been killed by peers of different nationalities due to disputes among them in the city.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the young man was from Itsa in the Fayoum governorate in southwestern Egypt and had arrived in Italy through illegal immigration in 2019. Upon his arrival, he was placed in a shelter for minors since he was underage. After reaching the age of 18, he was granted a work permit and became a hairdresser.
Italian authorities have arrested several suspects, who are of Arab nationalities, and are currently interrogating them to uncover the truth and identify the perpetrators and their motives for committing the heinous crime.
