"Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water" Issues Decisions and Calls for Payment of Water Fees for 2023

The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation has called on all subscribers to pay their outstanding water fees for the year 2023 and previous years through the following means:

- Specialized bill collectors

- Distribution department cashiers

- Electronic payment machines (POS) available at distribution departments

- Centers of Online Money Transfer Company (OMT)

The Corporation apologized to its subscribers for the inability to provide payment service via electronic payment on its website lb.gov.ebml or the ebml mobile app, due to reasons beyond its control, and is working diligently to restore this service.

In light of the current economic circumstances, the Corporation has issued the following decisions:

- Installment payment options for overdue fees from previous years until December 2025.

- Easier processes for former subscribers to obtain new subscriptions, where outstanding amounts can be paid in installments until December 2025.

- A 40% reduction in the establishment fee for new water subscriptions for buildings connected to water networks based on capacity.

- A 24% reduction in the establishment fee for water subscriptions based on meters.

- A 90% reduction in the fee for changing subscriber names.

- A 90% reduction in the renewal fee for temporary subscriptions.

The announcement is considered a personal notification to each subscriber.
