European traders have reported that "the government grain buyer in Jordan bought approximately 60,000 tons of barley feed from optional origins in an international tender that closed today, Thursday." It is believed that the quantity was purchased from Nestlewise at an estimated price of around $243.50, including shipping costs, for delivery in the second half of February. The reports reflect traders' evaluations, and further estimates of prices and quantities may still be made later. Traders mentioned the following offers from other trading companies, all per ton including shipping costs: Viterra at $259.99, Ameropa at $258.50, Olam at $249.98, and Cargill at $256.75. The Romanian company Sercom Dolg also participated, but the offered price was not disclosed. Traders indicated that "there is no indication that Jordan will issue a new tender despite requesting to purchase 120,000 tons today, Thursday."
