David Satterfield, the U.S. Special Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs in the Middle East, revealed in an interview with the New Channel on Wednesday that the United States opposes the displacement of Palestinians from the devastated Gaza Strip to another country. He added that "the residents of Gaza who have been displaced to the south due to Israeli military operations should be allowed to return to their homes in the north as soon as possible." He went on to say that the U.S. "wants to see Israel succeed in its campaign" and warned Hezbollah, urging it to stop launching rockets at Israel if it wants to avoid escalation.
