Lebanese Cultural Week in Iran After Meeting with Iranian Counterpart

Minister of Culture in the caretaker government, Judge Mohammed Wissam Al-Murtada, met during his visit to Tehran with Iranian Minister of Culture and Guidance, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili, in the presence of the Lebanese ambassador to Iran, Hassan Abbas, in a working session. They discussed "ways to address media misinformation campaigns that target our communities with the aim of discouraging them, obscuring their awareness, and corrupting their values, which rise to the level of 'media terrorism,' necessitating joint efforts to confront it." They also explored "enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of the Lebanese and Iranian peoples, especially since each has its own distinct cultural heritage and movement." They agreed to hold a Lebanese cultural week in Iran very soon and to collaborate on cinematic projects. The two sides also exchanged views on the political situations in their respective countries and regional issues.
