The Syrian Football Association announced the scheduling of two international friendly matches for the national team against Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia in preparation for the 2024 Asian Cup finals. The match against Kyrgyzstan will take place in Dubai on the fifth of next month, and the match against Malaysia will be held in Doha on the eighth of the same month. Qatar is set to host the Asian Cup finals from January 12 to February 10. The draw has placed the Syrian team in Group B alongside Australia, Uzbekistan, and India.
