China Announces Military Drills in the South China Sea

The Chinese Maritime Safety Administration announced today, Friday, that the country will conduct military drills in the South China Sea from July 29 to August 2, covering a vast area that includes the Paracel Islands and the Macclesfield Bank. The administration added that vessels are prohibited from entering the area during the military exercises.
