Indian media reported that "a man in his fifties in Uttar Pradesh, India, beheaded his wife with a sword after she took too long to prepare tea." The man told the police, who arrested him for stabbing his wife to death, that at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, he asked his wife to make tea, but it took some time. He then asked her why it was taking so long, at which point she questioned his shouting, to which he replied that he had lost his temper. A police officer said in a report to the "Indian Express": "In a fit of rage, he took the sword that was inside the house and struck her several times on the head, resulting in her death." The victim's son stated that he and his sister tried to stop their father, but he also threatened them, prompting him to call the police and file a complaint.
