International Networks Attempt to Smuggle 47 kg of Cocaine into Jordan

Jordan's Drug Enforcement Administration seized 47 kilograms of cocaine in an attempt organized by international networks, in collaboration with three accomplices inside the kingdom who were all arrested. The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated today, Saturday, that an investigative team from the Drug Enforcement Administration had been conducting an investigation for weeks, following information about a group of individuals within the kingdom collaborating with international criminal networks to smuggle drugs into the country. The investigations revealed that a shipment of narcotics was packed inside a postal parcel coming from one of the South American countries, wrapped in legal materials that allow it to be brought across the borders, so that the drug traffickers working with the criminal network could legally receive it upon its arrival in the kingdom.
