Minister of Tourism in the caretaker government, Walid Nassar, will leave Beirut tomorrow heading to Riyadh to lead Lebanon's delegation at "World Tourism Day," hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Nassar will deliver a speech representing Lebanon, presenting "Lebanon's vision" in the tourism sector and its role in its Arab and global surroundings.
In addition to participating in "World Tourism Day," Lebanon’s Ambassador in the Kingdom, Fawzi Kabara, will hold a large meeting at the embassy, attended by several stakeholders in the Saudi and global tourism sectors, where Minister Nassar will also speak, addressing the current tourism situation in Lebanon and its prospects for the upcoming phase.
It is worth noting that "World Tourism Day" is being held for the 43rd time and aims to enhance one of the strategic priorities of the World Tourism Organization, which is "investing in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation while supporting startup environments." The organization will highlight the need for more investments directed better towards people, the planet, and prosperity. Additionally, "World Tourism Day" aims to promote green investment and unite around a new tourism investment strategy.
