On Sunday, the telecommunications companies PalTel and Jawwal announced the gradual return of communication services in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip. In a joint statement, the companies said: "Our teams were able to reach the site of the main malfunction and repair it after several attempts over the past few days and intervention from relevant international parties." Communication and internet services have been suspended in Gaza since December 14.
