Title: Patriarch Raï: Unfettered Judicial Justice is the Backbone of State Life

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Raï, during his presiding over the memorial mass for Haitham and Malik Touk at Mar Saba Church in Bsharri, stated that judicial justice free from any political interference and any religious, sectarian, or denominational coloring is the backbone of state life and the preservation of citizens' rights and duties. Raï called on the municipalities concerned in Qornet el-Sawda to cooperate, providing their legal and historical documents to the northern real estate investigating judge regarding land surveying and property liberation processes. He noted, "It is known that these processes began by a judicial order dated June 13, 1978, according to the decree issued on October 27, 1947. This means that no one has the right to obstruct these processes or delay their execution to avoid conflicts, disputes, violations, and aggressions that lead to dire consequences." He asked God for mercy to free justice from the interference of politicians and influential figures, to prevent it from assuming sectarian or sect-like characteristics, and to avoid the disruption of its practice through illogical, illegal, or unrealistic formal responses.
