Turkey: Two People Die in Bus Collision

Due to heavy snowfall in the Turkish province of Kars, a chain accident occurred resulting in the collision of two passenger buses, leading to fatalities and injuries. A recorded video showed one bus standing still as heavy snow fell, only to be hit from behind by another bus. The accident resulted in the death of two people and injuries to eight others.

With the onset of winter, eastern provinces of Turkey have experienced a severe cold wave that has caused rivers and lakes in several cities in the region to freeze. In the city of Kars, rivers and lakes were also covered in snow, with temperatures dropping to 12 degrees below zero. Frost has affected trees and plants, covering roads in white.
