Iraq Thwarts Attempt to Target Military Units and Civilians

The Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq announced today, Friday, that they thwarted a terrorist attempt to target military units and civilians in Salah al-Din. A statement from the Popular Mobilization Forces indicated that "a unit from the 22nd Brigade of the Kirkuk and East Dijla Operations Command found a bomb planted by ISIS in the Hamrin Hills in Salah al-Din province." It added that "the operation was based on intelligence information, resulting in the discovery of a bomb intended to target military units and civilians." It noted that "the bomb was handled safely without causing any damage or casualties."
