Italian Jannik Sinner defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev with scores of (3-6), (3-6), (6-4), (6-4), and (6-3) to win the Australian Open tennis title in the men's singles competition today, Saturday. Sinner, ranked fourth and 22 years old, becomes the first Italian to win the title at Melbourne Park.
