Power outages continued for tens of thousands in Queensland, Australia on Saturday, following two days after a tropical cyclone brought destructive winds and heavy rainfall. Cyclone Kyereli is the second tropical cyclone to hit the area since December, causing power outages for around 66,000 people on Friday. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated on Friday that "military forces are on standby to assist in clearing the debris caused by the cyclone."
