The Iraqi Border Crossing Authority announced today, Saturday, the arrest of a foreign traveler caught with crystal meth at the Shalamcheh border crossing. The authority stated in a press release that "the Shalamcheh border crossing directorate managed to arrest a foreign traveler who was found in possession of 265 grams of crystal meth in an unsuccessful attempt to smuggle it into the country." The statement also noted that "a formal seizure report was prepared, and the accused was referred to the Shalamcheh Customs Police Station for appropriate legal action."
