A statement issued by the British government has announced that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will visit Kyiv to announce a new package of financial aid for Ukraine. The statement said: "The Prime Minister will visit Kyiv today, Friday, to outline a major new support package and to reaffirm the close partnership between the United Kingdom and Ukraine." In November 2022, Rishi Sunak visited the capital Kyiv in his first visit since assuming the position of Prime Minister. Britain provides military and financial support to the Kyiv government and participates in training Ukrainian soldiers.
