Chevron: Resumption of Gas Supply to Israel and the Region from Tamar Field

Chevron announced today, Monday, that it has resumed supplying customers in Israel and the region with natural gas from the Tamar offshore gas field, after the Israeli Ministry of Energy requested the resumption of production. Sector sources told Reuters that production from the field is expected to reach its full capacity within a few days. The ministry had instructed Chevron, which operates the field that is a key source of gas needed for electricity generation and industry in Israel, to shut down the field at the beginning of the war with the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement (Hamas), which started on October 7.
