The distinguished Jaafari Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, confirmed that "we are in a moment of intense war, with uncertainty enveloping the entire region. The nature of the regional balance is very hot, and the threat is existential. Israel is engaged in a war it will not win, and what the resistance is doing is the greatest sovereign act since the first day of its sacrifices and victories."
He stated in a statement: "What is required from some Lebanese forces is to read the Lebanese book, not the American one, and to contribute to securing Lebanese interests, not those of Washington. To some, I say: the American is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and Washington's interests in Lebanon are the same as those of Tel Aviv. The era of selling homelands is over, the region has changed significantly, and all national forces are called upon to quickly resolve the presidential settlement because Lebanon's gain, just as it passes through the resounding victories of the resistance, also goes through a presidential settlement that befits Lebanon's choices."
He concluded by affirming: "The Lebanese security need is a pressing necessity, and keeping an eye on darker files is even more important, and attention must be paid to the dark rooms, for what happens in the shady dens of the night is exposed by the eyes of the day."
