American Connection... Hours Before The Hague's Decision

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken preempted the Hague's decision today regarding the lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel for "committing genocide in Gaza" with a conversation with his South African counterpart Naledi Pandor. Blinken emphasized to Pandor the United States' support for Israel's right to "ensure that the terrorist attacks of October 7 never happen again," according to a White House statement. The statement noted that Blinken and his South African counterpart discussed "the need to protect civilian lives, ensure the continuation of humanitarian aid for Palestinians, and work towards a lasting regional peace that guarantees Israel's security and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state." The South African government is awaiting the International Court of Justice's ruling on the lawsuit against Israel today, Friday.
